Since all knowledge is contained on the interwebs, some advice please: which of these works best as a starter Andre Norton? Why or why not?

The Defiant Agents
Key Out of Time
Plague Ship
Ralestone Luck
Rebel Spurs
Ride Proud, Rebel!
Star Born
Star Hunter
Storm Over Warlock
The Time Traders

Not Ralestone, IMO, because of its relatively gentle racism and its persistent girl-defers-to-boy habit. That is, it thinks it is being gentle and kind, but....

Star Hunter, or one of the others that's not in the middle of a series: www.andre-norton.org/books/serie.html

Storm over Warlock. Or Star Born. But I reread Warlock several times, so it gets my vote. The others were a read-once mostly.

Time Traders! Entertaining Cold War time travel book I read when I was eight and still like! (The Defiant Agents is a sequel to it.)

Not Plague Ship, which is the only one I've read within recent memory. A bit too slow-paced.
